What shaft length should I order for my aluminum fishing boat?
The most common choice for a 14–16 foot aluminum fishing boat is the long shaft (20"). The short shaft (15") is typically for smaller tenders, inflatables, and older aluminum boats with low transoms. Measure your transom height from the top of the mounting bracket to the waterline with the boat at normal load — if it’s 15 inches or under, order short shaft; if it’s between 16 and 20 inches, order long shaft.

Is the Yamaha F9.9 available with electric start?
