Yamaha Jet Drive outboards — for shallow water, rivers, and propeller-unfriendly environments.
Jet drive outboards use an internal impeller instead of a propeller to move water, which means no exposed prop below the hull. That makes them the right choice for shallow rivers, rocky bottoms, log-choked waterways, and any environment where a standard propeller would be a liability.
Yamaha's jet drive motors use the same proven powerheads as their propeller-driven counterparts — the same reliability, the same factory warranty — with a jet pump unit in place of the standard lower unit and gearcase.
