Refund policy

Refund Policy

All sales of new Yamaha outboard motors are final. Given the nature of large marine equipment — freight-shipped directly to customers across Canada — we do not accept returns on motors once they have shipped. Please read this policy carefully before submitting your order.

Before You Order

We provide same-day quote responses and encourage you to ask questions before committing. Our team will confirm the correct motor model, shaft length, configuration, and pricing for your specific application before your order is processed. If you are unsure about any specification, ask us first.

Pricing

All prices listed on our site include freight and PDI (pre-delivery inspection). Taxes and installation are additional. Your quote will show the complete price including applicable taxes for your province.

Order Cancellation

Orders may be cancelled before the motor ships. Once a motor has left our facility and is in transit, the order cannot be cancelled. If you need to cancel an order, contact us immediately at info@yamaha-outboard.ca.

Freight Damage

You must inspect your shipment before signing the delivery receipt. If visible damage is present on the crate or pallet, note it on the delivery receipt before signing. Do not refuse the shipment for minor packaging damage — document it and contact us immediately with photographs. We handle freight damage claims on your behalf and will work to resolve the issue promptly.

Damage discovered after signing without notation on the delivery receipt is significantly harder to claim. Always inspect before you sign.

Defective or Incorrect Units

If you receive a motor that is defective from the factory or does not match your confirmed order, contact us immediately. We will work with Yamaha Motor Canada to resolve the issue. Factory defects are covered under the Yamaha factory warranty — see our Warranty section below.

Yamaha Factory Warranty

Every new motor we sell is covered by Yamaha Motor Canada's factory warranty for three years from the date of purchase. Warranty service is performed by authorized Yamaha service dealers across Canada. Warranty does not cover damage from improper installation, misuse, neglect, or use of incorrect fuel. The 20-hour break-in service at an authorized Yamaha dealer is required to maintain warranty coverage.
