What shaft length do I need?
The F15 is available in 15" (short) and 20" (long) shaft lengths. Measure your transom height from the top of the mounting bracket to the waterline with the boat loaded to normal operating weight. Short shaft fits transoms up to 15 inches; long shaft fits transoms from 16 to 20 inches. When in doubt, go long shaft.
Is the Yamaha F15 tiller or remote control?
The F15 is available in both tiller handle and remote control configurations. Tiller is the standard choice for small aluminum fishing boats where the operator sits at the back. Remote control is available if you’re running a small console setup. Specify your preference when you request a quote.

Is there a high-thrust version of the F15 for trolling?
No. The high-thrust T-series is available at the 9.9hp and 25hp levels. For dedicated kicker and trolling applications, the T9.9 is the correct motor in this horsepower class.
